Acceptance of These Terms
These terms and conditions apply to the SaySolid app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by Adapted Hub LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider"). The Application is free to download. Generating a model spends credits, which you buy as in-app purchases through Apple; the Credits and Purchases section below sets out how that works.
Upon downloading or using the Application, you automatically agree to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application.
License and Intellectual Property
The Service Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Application on devices you own or control.
Unauthorized copying or modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or the Service Provider's trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions is not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
As between you and the Service Provider, the descriptions you write and the 3D models generated from them are yours to use, including for commercial purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that what you describe, generate, and manufacture does not infringe the rights of any third party, and you agree not to use the Application to produce anything unlawful or hazardous.
Generated Models Are Provided "As Is"
The Application generates geometry automatically from natural-language input. Output may be incomplete, mis-dimensioned, or unsuitable for its intended purpose, and it is not a substitute for professional engineering judgement. You are solely responsible for verifying any model — its dimensions, tolerances, clearances, material suitability, and structural adequacy — before fabricating, installing, or relying on the resulting part.
Print-ready exports are prepared automatically as well. The printer profile and the sliced output are produced by software and are not reviewed by a person, so check the slicer settings and the sliced result yourself before you print.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury, direct or indirect, arising from reliance on models produced by the Application.
Credits and Purchases
Generating a CAD model spends credits. One build costs 10 credits; the price is published in the Application and may change. A build is charged only when it publishes a model, and a build that fails, is cancelled, or times out releases the credits it reserved.
A new installation may claim a one-time welcome bonus of 30 credits, which expires 14 days after it is granted. Purchased credits never expire. Bonus credits expire on their date.
Further credits are sold as consumable packs through Apple's in-app purchase system, at the prices shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. Apple is the merchant of record for those purchases, and RevenueCat validates them on the Service Provider's behalf. Payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms: ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Credits buy processing inside the Application. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another person, and cannot be exchanged for money. Credits, purchases, and the ledger that records them are held against your anonymous identifier, so restoring a purchase depends on that identifier being available on the device you use, as described under Your Device and Your Data.
The Service Provider may change the credit catalogue, its prices, and the welcome bonus terms, and will give notice of any change in the Application before it applies. The Service Provider may also grant credits for support or promotional reasons.
Modification of the Application
The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible, and therefore reserves the right to modify the Application, or to change what it charges for its services, at any time and for any reason. The Service Provider assures you that any change to the charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you before it applies.
Your Device and Your Data
The Application stores and processes the descriptions you enter and the models generated from them in order to provide the service; how that data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. Sign-in is anonymous, so access to the work stored for you depends on the anonymous identifier held in your device keychain and in your iCloud Keychain — it is your responsibility to keep your devices and your iCloud account secure. Nobody at the Service Provider can recover that identifier for you.
The Application may ask your permission to send notifications. If you allow them, it sends you a notification through Firebase Cloud Messaging and the Apple Push Notification service when a build finishes, carrying the project name, the assistant's reply text, and a link to the thumbnail. You can withdraw that permission in the Settings app at any time.
The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, which involves removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. Such actions could expose your phone to malware, viruses, and malicious programs, compromise your phone's security features, and may result in the Application not functioning correctly or at all.
Third-Party Services
The Application relies on third-party services that operate under their own terms and privacy policies. In particular, the text you enter to describe a part is transmitted to OpenAI in order to generate a model from it. If you request a Printables.com listing draft, limited project material is also sent to OpenAI. Credit packs are sold through Apple and validated by RevenueCat. By using the Application, you agree to the terms and policies of the following providers as they apply to that processing:
- Google Firebase Anonymous authentication, storage of your projects, generated models, and credit records, crash reporting, and Cloud Messaging delivery of build notifications.
- OpenAI Processes your project material, including rendered images of the model under construction, to generate 3D models and optional Printables.com listing drafts.
- Apple Sells credit packs through App Store in-app purchase, delivers build notifications through the Apple Push Notification service, and syncs your anonymous identifier through iCloud Keychain.
- RevenueCat Validates in-app purchases of credit packs.
- Printables.com Provides the website where you can upload and publish a listing, and manages its website session and cookies.
- Owlmetry Privacy-limited usage telemetry (opaque identifiers, feature codes, counts, and timings, tagged with the anonymous identifier), plus any feedback you choose to send from Settings, including the optional name and email address.
Optional Printables.com Publishing
Printables.com listing draft generation starts only after you tap Generate draft. The Application then sends the current branded preview and up to the newest 20 visible user and assistant chat messages to OpenAI. The combined chat text is capped at 32,000 characters. OpenAI creates an editable title, description, and tags.
You must review and edit the draft as needed. You choose which files and text to upload, and you control whether and when to publish. You are responsible for the accuracy, rights, license, safety, and suitability of anything you publish.
The Application opens Printables.com in an embedded browser. Printables.com and any login provider you select manage the website, login process, session, and cookies under their own terms and privacy policies. The persistent website session stays on your device until you sign out through the website, the website expires the session, or you remove the Application. Its session is separate from Safari and does not share your Safari login.
Connectivity and Charges
Please be aware that the Service Provider does not assume responsibility for certain aspects. Some functions of the Application — including generating a model from your description — require an active internet connection, which can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of access to Wi-Fi, or if you have exhausted your data allowance.
If you are using the Application outside of a Wi-Fi area, your mobile network provider's agreement terms still apply. You may therefore incur charges from your mobile provider for data usage while connected to the Application, or other third-party charges. By using the Application, you accept responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the Application outside your home territory without disabling data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you are using the Application, the Service Provider assumes that you have obtained permission from the bill payer.
Similarly, the Service Provider cannot always assume responsibility for your usage of the Application. For instance, it is your responsibility to ensure that your device remains charged. If your device runs out of battery and you are unable to access the service, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible.
In terms of the Service Provider's responsibility for your use of the Application, while they strive to ensure that it is updated and accurate at all times, they rely on third parties to provide the processing that makes the Application available to you. The Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying entirely on this functionality of the Application.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may wish to update the Application at some point. The Application is currently available subject to the requirements of the operating system it supports (and any additional systems the Service Provider decides to extend availability to); those requirements may change, and you will need to download the updates if you want to continue using the Application. The Service Provider does not guarantee that it will always update the Application so that it is relevant to you and compatible with the particular operating system version installed on your device. However, you agree to always accept updates to the Application when offered to you.
The Service Provider may also wish to cease providing the Application and may terminate its use at any time without providing termination notice to you. Unless they inform you otherwise, upon any termination: (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; and (b) you must cease using the Application and, if necessary, delete it from your device. Export any models you wish to keep before uninstalling.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update these Terms and Conditions. You are therefore advised to review this page regularly for any changes. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
